Welcome!

Have you ever seen plate spinning? It's a juggling act of sorts. The spinner has a dozen or so plastic poles and he puts a plate on the top of a pole and starts it spinning. Then he starts a plate on the next pole, and then the next. But then he has to go back and "rev up" one of the already spinning plates because it's already slowed down and started to wobble.

So to get all twelve plates going at once, he has to keep going back and checking on the other plates while he keeps adding new plates until he reaches his goal of having all twelve plates spinning at once.

So, welcome to my world. I'm not a plate spinner that you'd see at the carnival. But I have several plates that I have to keep rev'd up. There's my faith, my family, my marriage -- for starters. Then there's my counseling practice, my life coaching practice, my webdesign practice (which is really starting to take off and branch out into other areas, like coding in more than just HTML). And I'm still trying to keep music in there somewhere...

I haven't mastered going back and rev'ing up each plate. And that gets me into tight, stressful places at times. But here lately I'm finding that it's not only less stressful if I keep on top of each of the things that I'm responsible for, it's also empowering and even FUN!
